Gideon, Unity & Diversity

Today I was proud of my son Gideon, who at the age of 17 months began wrestling with the concept that has plagued philosophy since Thales of Miletus, Heraclitus and Parmenides. He gathered giant foam letters & numbers and tried to understand how they fit together. What was the connection (unity) to these foam letters that seem so unique (diversity) a question that outside of God, still remains unanswered in philosophy and has been all but abandoned in a period of meaninglessness.
