We are a young church in its fourth year. We want to redo our church website to be a centerpiece of activity and communication - active in facilitating community and furthering our commitment to a gospel-centered culture. I see that I have missed the timing cutoff for our church to be involved in your first group of participants, but I have been in touch with Mike Elias. We are currently investigating a move to Ekklesia360 to host our new church web presence. Please keep up the great work. Many church bodies will benefit. Blessings.

Hi Drew,

I would love the opportunity to participate in this activity. We are part of a small church plant in Melbourne, Australia.

High unemployment, low education and a small understanding of how to use technology seems to be the norm amongst our 100 or so attendees.

We are set up on Facebook, Twitter and Youtube and have a Joomla powered website at the moment.

If want want some stats on a challenging demographic on the other side of the world, let us know.

Our website can be found at:

Hey Drew, we might be up for participating in this at the tier 2 level, but I would need more details. We don't mind sharing what all is working for us and what hasn't in return for great research and the chance to have bright minds critique and correct where we've missed the boat. We are already committed to Shadetree as our Community Platform and Web Empowered Church as our CMS, but if that doesn't disqualify us I think we could contribute something useful and learn a lot too. Let me know!

This initiative is a real God-send. So many believers and nonbelievers fail to acknowledge that the church is a business as well as "The House of Prayer for all people." I operated a business for over 20 years, and am on the verge of completing MBA studies, and am daily confronted by the awareness that failure to be the most informed is a pathway to failure. Information obtained by the Church Web Cooperative is a strategic part of the growth and success planning of churches as 21st Century businesses. It is written: "My people perish for lack of knowledge." Hosea 4:6

This is a great idea! I started building an online church directory and got a stomach ache seeing the mess out there. So, I started drafting a series of articles on getting off on the right foot with a church website.

The online church community needs a lot of help.

Great Post,
Thanks for the insight and well done for sharing this valuable research data.
It's time for the church to embrace the web and start building their online ministries.
