		<description>Thanks for the thoughts on this all-important topic. I posted recently on this as I have been thinking out how to work out the theology of the indwelling of the Spirit, the multi-faceted giftedness of men, the priesthood of believers. I wonder if you see a necessity in the missional model you propose above to necessitate a plurality of pastors. That is, I am nearly convinced that we need to eschew the one-pastor model and adopt a multiple eldership who preaches from the pulpit. More specifically, plurality of elders translates into plurality of leaders who are visible in that role by the exposition of the Word and shepherding. Thus, we do away with the 'preaching pastor' model and adopt 'pastors who preach.' I'd love to hear your thoughts on &lt;a href="http://offthewire.wordpress.com/2007/07/09/first-among-equals/#comment-6013" rel="nofollow"&gt;my post,&lt;/a&gt; and how you would reconcile these.</description>

This still is fuzzy to me as I think about it practically and organizationally.  But I know a lot of that is b/c I've never been in a church that functioned this way in its leadership.</description>
