I dont think you are wrong dude. God gave you talent for a reason and if you wish to use it for His glory for as much time as possible, why not? I believe if there are that many guitarist at a church, God is probably saying "Hey, why don't we send some OUT to where they are needed". Ever thought that maybe God was calling you to another church through this experience? Look around and see if there is need in the Body somewhere else, and most of all be prayerful and Spirit-led. God Bless!

I am struggling, and praying about, what to do. I have been playing on various church worship teams for the past 20+ years as a guitarist. I know that I was called to this ministry, and I have a passion and deep desire for ministring to others through music. By the way, the reason I have been involved in several churches is because of several required job related moves.
Anyway, due to several other guitarists in our church, my playing time is limited to a Sunday here and a Sunday there.
I want to play more, and on a regular basis, but the opportunity just isn't here. I have talked to the worship leader, and although she understands, she feels she has to be fair and let everyone paricipate, which means limited playing time.
Am I wrong to look for another church where I can be more involved on a more frequent basis?
