Church Planting, Technology & Culture

Metro Church Alliance is launching. Metro Church Alliance is a city-centered community of churches who are committed to serving and renewing cities through a movement of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that nothing promotes the peace and health of the city like the spread of faith in the gospel. It renews both individual lives and reweaves the fabric of whole neighborhoods. We believe that nothing moves Christians to humbly serve, live with, and love all the diverse people of the city like the gospel does.

Drew is an elder/pastor at Kaleo Church and CEO of Monk Development. Kaleo is a church planting movement in San Diego. Drew spends much of his time thinking about church planting strategy, web missiology and being a husband and father of two (Gideon & Roman). More about Drew Goodmanson.

Metro Church Alliance sounds like a great idea. The only quams I have is the name. When I saw the title of the post I immediately thought it was referring to the Gay and Lesbian affirming Metropoliton Churches around the country which are commonly referred to as the Metro Church. San Diego has a one of the Metro Churches.
Plus there are a lot of ‘metro-sexual’ guys out there. Let’s hope that so many churches join to see ‘metro areas’ reached with the gospel, the Metropolitan Church becomes filled with people who live the gospel!
