Many Christians have come to a position of seeing mercy ministry as “secondary duty”. It is something that we try to do if we have enough time or resources to dedicate to “social work”. The Bible doesn’t portray mercy ministry as secondary. Jesus Christ taught that man not only receives and experiences the mercy of God, but that he is also called to practice mercy toward others.

Thanks Drew. That’s an amazing sermon - I just wish it hadn’t been preached on the other side of the world to me! I’ve never yet heard a social justice message that actually relates back to the Gospel and specifically frees you from the guilt/defensiveness response.

Well,I need Mercy and prayer,please.My 21 yr old son died recently in a backslidden condition and so was I.It would not have happened had I been living right.Im out of my mind daily over it.I have 3other kids 18 to 23 who need salvation and unbelieving husband who is leaving.I BEG for prayer for MERCY on our souls,please.Nothing more.Thank you so much.
