Church Planting, Technology & Culture

An interesting article about how useful people consider their church website. Poll question, How Useful is your Church Website?
12% say they use their church web site every day
12% ask “What church web site?”
35% say their church’s web site is as current as a 1980 hymnal.
Another reason we create a web-based church content management system (and assimiliation, contact mgmt, event mgmt, etc…)

Drew is an elder/pastor at Kaleo Church and CEO of Monk Development. Kaleo is a church planting movement in San Diego. Drew spends much of his time thinking about church planting strategy, web missiology and being a husband and father of two (Gideon & Roman). More about Drew Goodmanson.

Wasn’t sure where to ask this but do you go to All Souls Church? If so, do you find that the Reverend adheres to this policy on salvation?
I asked Reverend Russell what All Souls teaches about life after death. “We believe in heaven and some of us believe in hell,” replied Russell. “But you’ll also find universalists in our church.” Universalism holds that all people will be saved and go to heaven. Russell said he believes in hell. “But I don’t believe it is a smoking pit of fire. People will find in death what they expect. I believe Buddhists, Hindus, and Muslims are going to be okay. God’s not going to condemn people based on religion. The question people need to ask is, ‘HOW did you incarnate love?’” — Drew E. Goodmanson
I do not attend there. I write a weekly column where I interviewed Russell, what is written is his policy on salvation.
