Thanks to those of you who replied about the (Emergent) Christian Writers Needed. While my earlier post pays $, there is a local (San Diego) magazine called the Paper Lion that seeks writers to submit their work.
I am looking for articles that may inspire young Christian people to look for or search out this type of activity on a Friday or Saturday night. I am looking for good Christian articles for believers and non-believers. Articles that will get people to look for Jesus, if you will. Fictional stories that will make the readers think; “What am I doing for God?”" Where am I going when I die?”
Like I said, no earthly pay on this one, but if you’d like to get your work published, it is a good start….

Count It All Joy
James1:2 ” Count it all joy when you fall into divers temptation”.
The joy in this verse of scripture is the victory over temptation, which is assured when a person falls near, but not into the sin. The believer has thus demonstrated the power of God in their lives. The way a believer conducts himself as he faces the difficulties and attractions of this world ; reveals the work of God within and the faith of the Christian. In the book of James 1:8 says “A double minded man is unstable in ways”. The victory over temptation is a witness to a christians spiritual strenghts, in contrast to the weakness of those who are unable or unwilling to resist temptation.
A believer’s strenght to resist is a work of God through the aid of the Holy Spirit , because God causes His people to flee the approaching enemy of sin.
Timothy 6: 11, 12 speaks clearly to flee temptation . ” But thou, O man of God , flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before mant witnesses”.
The outreach that Janey Demeo and her Husband are doing is an amazing blessing to the poor and hurting of the world . May God continue to bless all that you undertake, all for the glory of God. You are an amazing example of ” be a doer of the work”. Thank you for putting God first in your lives , and using the wonderful gifts He has blessed you with.
