James1:2 ” Count it all joy when you fall into divers temptation”.

The joy in this verse of scripture is the victory over temptation, which is assured when a person falls near, but not into the sin. The believer has thus demonstrated the power of God in their lives. The way a believer conducts himself as he faces the difficulties and attractions of this world ; reveals the work of God within and the faith of the Christian. In the book of James 1:8 says “A double minded man is unstable in ways”. The victory over temptation is a witness to a christians spiritual strenghts, in contrast to the weakness of those who are unable or unwilling to resist temptation.
A believer’s strenght to resist is a work of God through the aid of the Holy Spirit , because God causes His people to flee the approaching enemy of sin.
Timothy 6: 11, 12 speaks clearly to flee temptation . ” But thou, O man of God , flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before mant witnesses”.
